Basketball

The South Coast Basketball Club has numerous junior and senior teams competing in the Rockingham Basketball Recreation Association each season. This competition allows students to develop new skills and progress in future basketball aspirations, through links with the Rockingham Flames in WABL (Western Australian Basketball League).

The winter and summer season runs during terms 2 & 3, and 1 & 4 respectively. Each team has a training session after school on the SCBC primary courts. The cost per season is approximately $300 (including uniform hire fee and bond).

Registrations for the 2024 winter season happen during term 1, and term 3 for the 2024 summer season. To register your interest for 2024, please email southcoastbaptistbasketball@gmail.com. Please note, teams are dependent on volunteer coaches and team managers. If you have any interest in coaching your child or want to start a new team with students from the SCBC community, please contact us.

The Grace Basketball Clinic is for Year 2- 6 SCBC students.  The program is developed, and coached, by Australian Boomers and Perth Wildcats Legend Ricky Grace. Grace Basketball teaches the sport of basketball while focusing on the fundamentals, which can be enjoyed and played for a lifetime. During the 8-week program, participants will learn about basketball, focusing on fun, skill acquisition, and how to implement the skills learned into game situations.

The 2024 Grace Basketball Clinics runs in Term 1 and 4 on Thursday mornings from 7.30am – 8.20am. This is an 8 week program, on the SCBC high school basketball courts. The cost is $150 per term.
